It just seems wrong

We’ve all learned to live with it, or have chosen to pay for content. I, personally, often prefer to pay for content. But ads on sites is a fact of life.
HOWEVER, I read an article this morning on Askmen.com – and found myself really pissed off. The article, The Most Stolen Cars of 2004 (and please don’t ask why I wanted to read it – I guess it was just curiousity), had links embedded throughout the article. But they were to car sales and buying sites. They were ads! Am I the only one who thinks this sucks?

I couldn’t agree more – ads hiding themselves in a post and pretending to be information are reprehensible.
I stumbled on your blog by accident, just following the “next blog” tool bar, but am glad I found it. I love the “Blanche” story. I hope you’ll keep posting and keep polishing your voice. I think we have a vested interest in seeing and promoting the comments of women, librarians/cybrarians, baby boomers, seniors, environmentalists, and others frequently below the radar of the world wide web – the web doesn’t belong to just to the youngest, hippest segment of our society!
