Thankful.

I am thankful for my family, my friends, my health. And for my work – I love my work. I am thankful for chocolate, poker, my children’s laughter, and for really good wine.

I am not thankful for NJ Turnpike traffic – which we’ll face tomorrow. Or for the honking, rude hordes at the stores and gas stations.

But I am thankful I’ll be spending my Thanksgiving with my parents, my brother and sister and their families and of course with Andrew and the boys. I’ll try to jot down my thoughts (and any particularly funny incidents) over the long weekend to share when I get back!

Wish me luck on the road!

Have a great turkey day! I’ll be cooking a bird, and dipping into the holiday wine about 45 minutes before the family arrives!

    Luck.

We’ll miss you guys. We added a sixth yesterday and wish that there were 5 more to round it out. Regardless, we’ll see you on the other end.

Gnightgirl – I am SURE I’ll start drinking more than 45 minutes before the festivities :) Enjoy your day!

Liz – we’ll miss you too. Feels odd to have Thanksgiving without you.

    Wendy,

I wish you and your family the very best Thanksgiving ever, and I’m living vicariously through all my American friends. John and I will celebrate with a nice dinner after work tomorrow, but it’ll be FAR from traditional!

OH what I’d give for my mother’s cornbread dressing, green bean casserole, and pecan pie!

Can’t wait to hear all of your stories in the coming days, Wendy!
