So my friend Kristin came over yesterday to photograph our family. The weather was really gross and since she’s a natural light photographer, it wasn’t the perfect shoot. But she got some great shots. And lucky for me, she wants to do it again on a nice day! But I thought I’d share a few of my favorites. They really show the personalities of the boys!

The photos are fantastic! They’re so much better than your average “family portrait,” where the direction of every chin is calculated, and the smiles forced. I love these!
Instead of a high school senior portrait, I hired a photographer to take a group shot of Brian and the 4 boys he grew up with, standing against brick walls, sitting on the hoods of their cars, etc. I thought they were a much more powerful statement of his childhood “exit.” I cherish them now!
