Fiber.
Posted: November 22, 2006 Filed under: Uncategorized 6 Comments »My sister-in-law loves fiber arts. She knits the most beautiful things. She can do hardanger like nobody’s business. You might remember that she taught me to knit last summer. I think (hope) she has recovered from that.
So Michele decided to turn her passion into a business. She decided to buy an old house and transform it into….Fiberphilia.
This is where I should write all about what she is carrying (great stuff that is hard to find and she will special order!) and all about what they’ll be doing. But I don’t understand any of it. So…
Here is a nice post about the opening and some great pix of the store!
I wish her luck with all the fiber of my being!

Oh, god I’m so jealous, I’d love to turn my passion into a business…if I could settle on just one passion. The pix are great; best to Michelle for all the success!
I hope your sister’s business does very well. It’s so exciting for her!
I wish her the best
Thank you all! If you’re ever in Orono, Maine you MUST stop in to say hi to her!
Ack! Anything with cloth or string (sewing, knitting etc) I am SO out of there!
But good luck to her, that’s the great American dream, to own one’s own business.
I’m a fiber shop junkie. My family knows that on all vacations, we find the local yarn store. We just do. No questions asked. Ideally, I sneak off and do it on my own, but they have been known to (patiently?) wait out my addictive fine-yarn-seeking expeditions. I am very excited for your sister-in-law, and wish her all the best. If I get to Orono, I’ll be sure and um… boost her success. Promise.
