Green Bean Casserole

Remember when everyone made this? You know, with Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup and French’s french fried onions…

When is the last time you made this or had it at someone’s house?

For me? 1986, I think.

Funny you ask!! Every holiday, my sister still makes it, since one of her (grown) children likes it. A lot. Needless to say, I always offer to bring an additional vegetable dish, for the sake of having an interesting alternative! (Not that it’s *bad*; it’s just a little… passe, would ya say?)

Elizabeth – funny! I got an email with the recipe. As if I didn’t know how to make this already!

Laurie – that’s nice of her to make it for the kid. A little rich for me, I think. Bringing another dish sounds wise!

Kristin – Email marketing brought it up! Want me to make it Sunday?

Ummmm, never. Does that make me lame?

It’s terrifying and banned under the Geneva convention. Isn’t it?

  7. Wendy says:

Vixen – No, not lame. Don’t bother!

T.Grunt – Perhaps it should be! Thanks for coming by :)

I love this. I used to make it about once a week, until my husband admited that he hates it. Now I buy the little frozen one-serving-size and make it about once a month for myself.
