Posted: May 2, 2007 Filed under: Uncategorized 2 Comments »Here I am listing items on eBay for a local charity. It’s a heckofa lot of work. But so far this year, we’ve made over $1,000 and that buys yard to knit and crochet hats for cancer patients and it buys weekend food for kids on federal lunch and breakfast programs…well, you get the picture.
So the boys come in and ask me….
“Have you ever heard of Bon Jovi?”
Well, yes. Of course.
They hadn’t.
Come to find out it’s on American Idol. I don’t watch the show, personally. And I don’t let the kids watch TV during the week. But it’s Tuesday, you say smugly to yourself. Well, yes it is.
Andrew is in San Diego. I had big plans to be productive today but one of the boys was home sick. Regroup. I need this time to catch up. On eBay (as I said) and on the hundreds of emails….
So it’s a copout. But I can live with it.
Monday musings.

I really like Fresca.
Andrew is away on a business trip. Considering we’ve spent practically 24 hours a day together all except maybe 10 days together in the past 8 years, I was kind of looking forward to it. But truth be told, I miss him. And that’s not just because he brings me a fruit pop every night when I’m lounging in my chaise. Okay, maybe a little because of that.
Sometimes people surprise me. In a good way.
I read something today about weight loss that hit home. It was Our Lady of Weight Loss. She’s hysterical, except this isn’t one of her funny things. It’s just insightful. And she said that the actual weight loss is a secondary benefit of a diet and exercise program. The primary benefit is feeling good about yourself. This is huge.
It’s been a long day. Ta ta!
