ISO fugitive recovery services?
Posted: December 19, 2007 Filed under: Uncategorized 15 Comments »Yesterday, I got a letter. I love getting mail. I love getting all those photo cards from my friends with pictures of their kids and I love getting Christmas cards. Frankly, I am always surprised that I get any since I don’t send them out. Never have. (But I rarely forget a birthday!)
Anyway, yesterday, I got a letter. It looked suspiciously like a Christmas card, but the return address was not someone I knew. It was from:
Gregory J. Chavez
(Special Agent)
Fugitive Recovery
I feel strongly that I would remember if I’d used the services of a Special Agent for Fugitive Recovery. Sometimes, I forget things, but I doubt I’d forget that.
So I thought maybe I met him out somewhere. Since I don’t have an extremely extensive social life where I’m meeting strange men out, that didn’t seem likely either. But then I started thinking. Last year, I went to Columbus with Kristin to see Lori and Momo. We frequented some entertainment establishments and perhaps had a few drinks.
So maybe I met him there and gave him my card? I do remember meeting a big scary-looking but friendly guy. Could it be? Nah, not likely. But if not, then? So I emailed Lori and asked her if she knew this guy. Nope.
So I emailed the man himself and asked him how we knew each other. His response.
Miss Scherer,
Let me introduce myself to you, my name is Gregory Chavez and I recover fugitive’s in Latin America. I got your name and address from a mailing list. I figure, in respect to public relations, to send out some Christmas cards and get my name out there. You never know what people need now a days.
Enjoy the Holiday(s)
Gregory Chavez.
Well, good for him.
I can tell you that if I EVER need fugitive recovery, I’m calling Greg.
Spread the word.
Peace out.

is this for real?
Yes! It’s for real!
Hands down that is THE best Christmas card ever!!! What kind of mailing lists are you on???
That’s some brilliant marketing. Good for him.

Wow! I wondered, too, how he came across your name & address.
That scary guy we met in OH was a judge. Or running for judge. Or something. I think I have his business card somewhere, still.
I *think* it came from the AIIP – association of independent information professionals. Though clearly, I’m off target for him, there are private investigators in the group – so maybe?
But this totally cracked me up! I love the handcuffs – that was to seal the envelope on the back! Cute, huh?
I especially like his PC replacement for
Bounty Hunter!
From ex-con to icon. Great copy! Good for him and I will definitely call him if I am every looking for an felon in Latin America. Talk about obscure…!
That is so insane! People never cease to amaze me…
what can I possibly add…amazing
Love it! Give the man a medal for innovation!
roflmAo!
Actually he is still a con not an icon! I was recently scammed by him. He charged me a huge amount promised me the world and never came through. He promised me if he was unable to complete the assignment that he would refund my money. Now he won’t take my calls!
Dear Nicole,
Please call me. I am in the same position as you were in! I gave him money to help me get surveilance in my grandson’s home to save him from the Domestic Violence and Child Abuse the neighbors confirmed was occurring. He promised me the footage I needed or he’d give a refund, and like you, now he won’t take my calls! Last he called me was to tell me his son was suffering severe migraines and they were on their way to the hospitol. I have been combing the internet searching for his legitimacy, and came accross your identical senario. I am so devastated! I trusted him with money to save my grandson. We are a low income family that are giving all we’ve got to save the grandson we raised up until 9 months ago when my daughter took him back to a violent house. He is only three years old and I constantly hear his last words to me, “Why nana why?!” He needs my help and now this supposed “Special agent” has had the heartlessness to rob me of the funds I trusted would save him! Sorry to burden you with my story. I’m sure you have one as well. Please call me. Maybe we should collaborate in our efforts to recover our money. There must be more out there who have experienced the same. Sincerely, Alice (818) 355-6607
How dare you say such things about him? Gregory Chavez is the guardian angel who located, recovered and returned my son to me after my ex-fiance kidnapped him and took him to Peru. No one would help me. The police and FBI were kind and sympathetic but the truth is that my son was one of hundreds of children who are kidnapped daily. Apparently with an international kidnapping, it could take years for me to get my son back. Mr. Chavez listened to my story accepted a deposit for his fee and went to work. He let me pay the remainder in payments and within one month my baby was back in my arms. I know that law enforcement officials wanted to help, they just didn’t have the resources. Mr. Chavez came, gave me hope and restored my heart. He even went to court and testified on my behalf when I applied for the restraining order against my ex.
I found out that Mr. Chavez has actually recovered over 300 abducted children. 300 families whose hearts are restored because of this man – the man you describe as a con and heartless. LUDICROUS!
I do not know who Alice and Nicole are but all I can say is that the man they are describing is not Gregory Chavez. I have spoken to many of his clients and they all praise the work he has done for them. He may not be able to babysit his clients and call with daily updates, but that is because he hunts down dangerous people and finds abducted children!
Anyway, I just wanted you all to know that the man described by these 2 women does not at all depict the business man I know and have come to admire. I called Mr. Chavez when I saw these posts and though he doesn’t know who Nicole is, he definitely knows Alice. He actually wouldn’t give me any info on her or her case, as he said it was confidential, even after I told him what she wrote about him. That’s a professional!
From what I read in your post Alice, it seems your daughter made a horrific choice in father for her child. Now that innocent child is apparently abused, and instead of taking action to protect her son and your grandson, your daughter allowed the violent father to return. Instead of YOU taking action to protect your grandson from the imminent danger posed by his father AND your daughter for allowing the abuse, you are blaming a man who is trying to help you. Typical – no one ever takes responsibility for their own actions. Instead you want to defame a man on a pubic website because all is not rosy in the (818) area code.
The point of my post is to let you ALL know that the “heartless con-man” described by these two people is false. I know first hand and have my son in his bed right now, sleeping like an angel thanks to Gregory Chavez.
