Today is the fourteenth anniversary of a day I will never forget. It is the day that I went to sleep knowing that when I woke up – on October 2nd – that my life would never be the same. I was marrying Andrew and we were starting a wonderful life together.
I knew that he was the one for me. What I didn’t know was where life would take us. I didn’t know that we’d have three amazing sons. I didn’t know we’d make lifelong friends while living in the Midwest (we moved out there just after getting married) and I didn’t know that we’d be back east before the millennium.
I didn’t know that there would be illnesses in the family or that there would be huge worries. I didn’t know about the hard times that would come. And I didn’t know that there would be so many wonderful, fun, and joyous times.
All I knew was that it was right.
And I still know that.
Congratulations! Wishing you many more happy years together.
Congratulations, Wendy and Andrew. May your lives continue to bring you excitement and love for many, many more years.
